Our 100% house is produced on a plot adjoining our Mas.
This 1.5 ha plot is planted with Marselan and Caladoc grape varieties.
Marselan is the result of the crossing between Cabernet Sauvignon emblematic of the Bordeaux vineyards and Grenache Noir, a variety well suited to the lower Rhône Valley.
Caladoc is a Mediterranean grape variety, born at the end of the 50s from the crossing between Grenache Noir and Malbec (grape variety found mainly in the wines of Cahors), it is a variety resistant to coulure, hence its nickname of "Grenache qui ne coule pas". It does not enter any AOC but only in the Mediterranean PGI.
This first cuvée "Since 1995" vinified for us is the assembly of these two grape varieties.
This gives a 2021 vintage to the intense black color, color reflections pulling on the purple.
It is a wine with strong personality.
Au Nez gives notes of red fruits, very ripe blackcurrant, slightly spicy.
Full-bodied mouth, beautiful roundness, superb tannic weave.
Complexity and ability to keep, 4 to 6 years.
Ideal as an aperitif, or with charcuterie, grilled meat, couscous, tagines, dark chocolate.
